HOWLING HALLS of WHISPERSTONE - System-agnostic Beastmen Dungeon

Twenty feet of ancient elven stonework jut from the frozen hillside, its carved faces clawed away by beast-men. Inside, something ancient is waking up, fed by every drop of blood spilled in its halls.

Howling Halls of Whisperstone is a compact, high-stakes dungeon delve that subverts the standard "kill-them-all" dungeoneering trope. Designed to be played in one or two sessions, it forces players to balance their tactical aggression against a looming narrative threat.

The beast-men raiders occupying these ruins are not the true enemy - they are batteries. Deep below, a demon stirs, and with every life the party takes, the chains weaken.

This is also an attempt to capture the remarkably compact writing of the likes of Silver Nightingale, going for a true 'less is more' approach.

System: Contains statblocks for Block, Dodge, Parry and Cairn, but is essentially system-agnostic, making it easy to use with Shadowdark and Old School Essentials.
